Opening the studio.
Why we built 500 Days Co — and the gap between DIY page-builders and full agencies that we want to fill.
There's a gap in the market between Squarespace and a $40,000 agency engagement. Above the page-builders, below the agencies. It's where most small businesses, indie brands, and founders actually live — and almost no one is building for it well.
500 Days Co is a studio for that gap. Premium output, indie prices, days instead of months. The trick that makes it work is a workflow that uses AI agents to do the relay work — moodboards, draft copy, responsive scaffolds, SEO structure, CMS models — while the studio keeps the editorial bar high and ships the work.
The name comes from the rough number of working days in a couple of years. Long enough to build something serious. Short enough that the calendar still matters. We're going to write about how the work goes here. If any of it is useful, that's a good outcome on its own.
