Sunny Lashes is a premium lash studio in City of Industry, CA, serving a clientele that moves between English and Chinese. The old presence was a phone number and an Instagram grid. They wanted a real site that read equally well in both languages, laid out the full style menu with honest pricing, and pushed people straight into their Vagaro booking — without a project that dragged on for months.
A single-page bilingual site with a live EN / 中文 toggle — every line written twice, not machine-translated, so neither language reads like a second draft. Six lash styles with their sub-styles and refill pricing, an Instagram-linked gallery, an aftercare guide, a four-step first-visit flow with intake form and consent waiver, and Vagaro booking embedded on the page. The look is warm and minimal — paper tones, soft ink, no glitter — premium without trying too hard.
12 days. Day 1–3: brand voice and bilingual copy in both languages side by side. Day 4–7: design and build. Day 8–9: Vagaro wiring, gallery, and the first-visit intake flow. Day 10–11: content QA in English and Chinese, performance pass, legal pages. Day 12: ship and DNS cutover at sunnylash.co. Bookings came in the first week.
A bilingual site is a copy problem before it's a code problem. Every section had to be authored twice and balanced so the Chinese read as native as the English — and the layout had to hold both without breaking. We now scope dual-language copy as its own work stream rather than bolting translation on at the end.
